I can confirm I'm able to reproduce this: * KDE Connect version 1.33.4 on Android * VLC version 3.0.21 Vetinari on EndeavourOS * KDE Plasma version 6.4.4 * KDE Frameworks version 6.16.0 * Qt version 6.9.1 * Kernel 6.12.41-1-lts * Wayland 'Play' button becomes greyed out. I can confirm this. I found two points that seem important to me. First, if VLC is launched by itself (without a video), and then you open a video via the menu "Media → Open File…", the bug does not occur. Second, there is exactly the same bug when using Bluetooth headphones with gesture controls. I use such headphones; touching them works as pause/play and works perfectly everywhere except VLC. The situation is exactly the same as described by bug reporter: when you tap, the video is paused, but subsequent taps do not resume playback. If anyone can, please check my version with the headphones in some other desktop environment.
