KRunner does have functionality to toggle. How do you have your shortcut set up? Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Please provide the requested information as soon as possible and set the bug status as REPORTED. Due to regular bug tracker maintenance, if the bug is still in NEEDSINFO status with no change in 30 days the bug will be closed as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME due to lack of needed information. For more information about our bug triaging procedures please read the wiki located here: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Bug_triaging If you have already provided the requested information, please mark the bug as REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to be confirmed. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! I have added a manual desktop entry for krunner as there was none. And that one is assigned to Meta using some strange command from Nick (the linux experiment) as it is not possible to use the meta key (!) in the GUI. So there is no option to set the toggle somewhere. So for context, there was no "krunner" under "keyboard shortcuts" at all. > there was no "krunner" under "keyboard shortcuts" at all.
You should be able to set it using the "Add Application" button.
There is no desktop entry for krunner? I guess this is an upstream Fedora issue? there is none in /usr/share/applications so I created my own which just launches Right, I have no such desktop file either, but there is a KRunner entry in my global shortcuts.
Anyway, as a workaround if you have no such entry and built your own desktop, you can use
> qdbus org.kde.krunner /App org.kde.krunner.App.toggleDisplay
as the command to execute.
I'd still consider it a bug that there is no entry available in the shortcuts settings for you.
I reassigned that command and it works the same, closing with Meta does not work thanks for the help! |
