I should add that ideally I'd prefer the folder to be hidden, or at least more out of the way. C'est la vie... Perhaps you know there is a workaround to hide the snap-folder.... You make a file in your home-folder and call this file ".hidden". So this file - .hidden - itself is hidden. In this file you write one word: snap And save it in you home-folder. As of then your snap-folder behaves as if it is hidden. Pieter Ah, thanks. That's a useful little thing to know. :) Still think the folder should have its own special icon, though. It is a special type of folder, after all. |
Created attachment 163470 [details] Snap logo as snap folder icon When using snap packages the user gets a «snap» folder in their Home directory. This looks like any other folder, but I think it would be useful if it was visually distinct, since it is where Snap applications are located. Have attached an example of how I've customised it on my machine.
