Description Fabio Sirna 2023-11-23 12:03:36 UTC
Not a bug, but a feature request to improve the usability during the operation of photo culling and remove a bit of user frustration.

Scenario:
I already did a first pass rating 1 and 2 images.
I set the filter to filter only 1 rated images.
Now the film strip is showing only images rated 1 or above.
If I press ctrl+2 and not quick enough to avoid keyboard repetition, what happens is that it quickly switch between rate 2 and 0, and as the filter is active the image disappear.
Then selection goes over the next image and if not quick enough the rating will be applied to the next image invalidating the process.
Then I need to toggle the filter off, go and search the images and assign again the rating.

Maik,

I cannot reproduce the problem under macOS. It's reproducible under Linux ?

It is now possible to create a key shortcut that does not toggle the rating value (Bug 495722), in case you have a keyboard that bounces. ((:-))
