If from the kterminal we open a window of dolphin and from that window we open a terminal here, and we then kill the 'dolphin PATH' of the first terminal it will kill the second terminal without asking or anything.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open kterminal (terminal 0) in a folder
2. run `dolphin .`
3. in the new created dolphin window right click -> open terminal here (terminal 1)
4. go to terminal 0, and kill the running dolphin . process by ctr+c

OBSERVED RESULT
the terminal 1 will automatically close, even if another command is running there.

EXPECTED RESULT
the terminal 1 should be kept it is not in relation with the dolphin window anymore

I don't reproduce with konsole in Dolphin 23.08+.

It depends on the service you use to for the "Open terminal here" to allow to child process to detach from the parent processus.

Are you still affected with the bug ? 
If not we can close this bug.

Can you share the service menu you use to have "open terminal here" feature if it is not the default one provided for konsole ?

I tried again and happens consistenly.

I'm using the default service menu with konsole

Konsole version 23.08.3
Dolphin version 23.08.3

Hello,
yes I am still afected, when I use open termina here was using an added button in the task bar, that I added by in dolphin:
hamburguer menu -> configure->configure task bar -> add the open terminal here
