For clarity, I think it would be more correct to rename the "Preferences" tab to "Sources", because only the sources of the software installation repositories exist there.

I have seen a bug about this (Bug 389717) and it seems that it was considered appropriate, but the bug is closed and Discover still shows "Preferences".

What happened with this?

Heh yeah, I proposed that, but ultimately it got reverted for some good reasons: there are in fact preferences in there. Click the three-dot kebab menu in the upper-left corner. And on some distros there are even more, as distros can integrate a way to launch their own settings windows from here. So I think we have to keep it the way it is, sorry.

OK, I understand. I hadn't seen that menu until now. In addition, there is also the update frequency configuration, very useful :-) Thanks for your clarification!
