Gwenview may crash on motorcycle photo. Its made from Canon RAW with AOM AVIF encoder. No Thumbnails ind Dolphin.
JXL got resolved somehow, but AVIF not. Gwenview displays AVIF (incl. Thumbnail), but Dolphin does not show thumbnail. So please edit the bug to be AVIF not JXL (can't find any option to delet jxl attachement not edit the bug to switch from jxl to avif). All types of photos with very detailed explanation for Dolphin and Gwenview.
I did pacman -Syyuu, cleaned cache in ~ and the upgrade to KDE6 started the hell for me and the thumbnails and photos. Maybe my Dolphin from KDE 6 does not see some .so ? I have no idea. Since all worked in KDE5. In KDE6 Gwenveiw seems ok with displaying photos and thumbnails, but not the new Dolphin :(. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 484183 *** |

Compress a few jpgphotos with cjxl (by default cjxl compresses to loseless if the source is jpg) 2. Open Dolphin 3. Some thumbnails of jxl are missing (regardless of size or resolution, hence one cannot pinpoint the reason) FYI: Gwenview [23.0.8.3] dislpalys thumbnails (ctrl+b) and loads the photos. No problem. All O.K. Only Dolphin is broken. EXPECTED RESULT Revert the changes and reinstate of Dolphin being capable of displaying thumbnails of of all jxl photos. Plese tell me what is going on? Why displaying photos in KDE is more broken than not? Which developer does it?
