SUMMARY
Hi.

I believe there has been some kind of regression. In the latest appimages (including the 2023-11-11), the sort order for faces seems to be random. It does not respect the Sort Items. 

I can confirm it is working fine in the digiKam-8.2.0-20231029T182058.appimage.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to the People panel.
2. Click on any person.
3. Try to change the sort order (e.g. View, Sort Items, By Creation Date)

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
The sort order should be respected.
