I was trying to create an audio CD from a number of WAV files ripped using K3b from an original pressed audio CD. The drive activity light flashed occasionally and the progress screen said "Drive Locked." Nothing seemed to be happening after several minutes so I tried to cancel the attempt to write the CD and K3b crashed and activated the KDE crash handler. The crash handler program asked if I had tried to repeat the error so I restarted K3b and tried to make the audio CD a second time using the original blank CD-R. This attempt to make the audio CD succeeded and the disc I made sounds fine so the first attempt did not write on the CD-R and ruin it. I don't know why it didn't work the first time but it worked fine the second time. I have had problems making audio CDs several times and previously I was able to successfully create audio CDs using Brasero when K3b didn't work, although I prefer to use K3b instead of Brasero. I've been using K3b for about 24 years and have generally been very happy using it. Keep up the very good work and thank all of you who work on K3b!

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.
