I selected several video/audio clips comprising two full tracks in Kdenlive and chose "Create sequence from selection". Kdenlive asked for a name for the sequence, so I gave it one and pressed Enter. 

The created sequence briefly appeared in the project bin, but then it immediately disappeared.

In a possibly related bug, adding a new sequence through the Project menu completely wipes the already present sequence (Sequence 1) so that I cannot see any clips at all.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select some clips. 
2. Right click and select "Create Sequence from Selection". 
3. Give it a name and press Enter.

OBSERVED RESULT

The sequence is created, but disappears immediately from the project bin.

EXPECTED RESULT

The sequence should stay, of course.
