STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Google Chrome
2. Run Google Chrome
3. Run Google Chrome apps

OBSERVED RESULT
Firefox icon disappears

EXPECTED RESULT
keep firefox icon in task manager

Windows: 
macOS:

By default the task manager has the default browser pinned, so it changes when you change the default browser.

If you want Firefox to be pinned while not being the default browser you can pin it manually
