When I drag a window to be partially offscreen and then take an Active Window screenshot of it in Spectacle, I get the whole window. I'm on Plasma 6 Wayland. Maybe it's an X11-only issue? Can you try on Wayland? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > When I drag a window to be partially offscreen and then take an Active > Window screenshot of it in Spectacle, I get the whole window. I'm on Plasma > 6 Wayland. Maybe it's an X11-only issue? Can you try on Wayland? That's working for me; this isn't a bug report (hence "NOR wishlist"). I'm requesting that something like https://nimbusweb.me/guides/screenshot/whats-the-capture-scroll-fragment-mode-for/#b111077191_2176 (In reply to `{third: "Beedell", first: "Roke"}`{.JSON5} from comment #2)

Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! I think what he wants is something like what Android screenshots can do. On Android, you can take a scrolling screen shot by initiating the screenshot and then you get a Capture More button or a button with two down arrows on the screenshot. Capturing more allows you to select a larger area outside the current view, much like you can with firefox screenshots. The double down arrow button continually pages down and appends to the current screenshot until you click the record button (actually acts as a stop button). This only works with apps that support the feature, not universally, so it may not be possible for us to implement this kind of feature entirely within spectacle. I found an earlier bug report for the same feature *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 450719 *** |
