Good night, I am interested on merging the applicative to select whole characters onto the one to select emojis. It should be interesting to press meta + period and being able to select various caracters instead of being able to do it with emojis only.

In fact you can do that already by unbinding the Meta+Period shortcut from Emoji Selector and instead setting a Meta+Period global shortcut to open KCharSelect.

These apps do different things; Emoji Selector is geared towards only emoji selection, nothing more.
