Start kdenlive, load a video and attempt a 'rendering'.  If tracks haven't been dragged into place the system quietly and very confusingly does nothing.

Please add an alert that no tracks have been loaded.

Very beginner unfriendly.

I can confirm the issue. If you have no clips in the timeline, an empty timeline and open the render window and click on “Redner to File” nothing happens.
It should show a message like: “Please drag a clip from the project bin to the timeline so Kdenlive can render it”.
