It's been a long time since this report was opened, and a lot has changed since then. Are you still seeing this bug with Plasma 6.3.5 or higher? Thanks. Okay, I tested it again with Kubuntu 25.04 and all backports installed since today. I created a quicklauncher and placed kate in there. Then I drag a text file from dolphin to the kate icon. Now behavior changed: It doesn't open kate with the URL of the file now but instead the text file gets a new icon in the quicklauncher. THis is new but also not what a user expects. No one needs a text file as a clickable icon there I guess :) (In reply to pietz from comment #2) Thanks for re-testing. The behavior happening now sounds very similar to what you originally reported I'm able to reproduce the bug on git-master. I'll let someone familiar with the widget code dig into it further. |
