Why, out of curiosity? Do you have a use case for this? For easier files management. Users on macOS have this feature and when swithing to KDE, partition management is somehow tricky for them. It can be an option not a absolute enabled feature. Thanks for consideration. Thanks. Note that this isn't a partition management feature, it's just a way to quickly access or unmount those disks. And we have one of those too: click on the Disks & Devices icon in the System Tray. It's not exactly the same thing, but it serves the same purpose. Unfortunately I think we have to say no to this feature as proposed. We already have a lot of trouble getting icons on the desktop to stay where you put them, and also showing mounted disks would introduce automatically appearing and disappearing elements and complicate that puzzle even more. |
