STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make a xcf file save it and export it as tif or jpg
2. Yeah !!! kde builds and shows now thumbnails for xcf !! (thanks)
3. Compare xcf and tif/jpg thumbnails

OBSERVED RESULT
xcf thumbnails is far too contrasted and saturated

EXPECTED RESULT
no difference

Correct colors with perceptual gamma, incorrect with linear light. (no difference within Gimp)

Please attach test case images (jpg and xcf). It's likely the kimage-formats xcf plugin.

This was a problem with xcf from Gimp 2.x and linear light images.
But now with xcf Gimp 3.0 nothing works...
