STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open account ledger
2. create new transaction
3. begin typing date

OBSERVED RESULT
crash

EXPECTED RESULT
add new transaction to ledger

What changed since you last successfully created a new transaction?
Can you run the program from command line?  That might show a useful error message output to the console.  You will have to find the full path to the executable, as it is not likely to be on your PATH.
