Created attachment 162597 [details] kdeconnectd crash information from drkonqi I believe the same crash can be reproduced, on my Neon testing installation, when pairing a new device - the back trace looks a bit different, but it also crashes on Device::reloadPlugins at ./core/device.cpp:184 I've also added the same report to bug 475960 (which I initially thought is a better dup candidate). kcrash file attached, and here is the summary: -- Backtrace (Reduced): #6 Device::reloadPlugins (this=this@entry=0x5607698cb850) at ./core/device.cpp:184 #7 0x00007fcef85f7aa1 in Device::pairingHandler_pairingSuccessful (this=0x5607698cb850) at ./core/device.cpp:253 #8 0x00007fcef6ef4394 in QtPrivate::QSlotObjectBase::call (a=0x7ffd080376d0, r=0x5607698cb850, this=0x56076990c5e0) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qobjectdefs_impl.h:398 #9 doActivate<false> (sender=0x5607698fc370, signal_index=5, argv=0x7ffd080376d0) at kernel/qobject.cpp:3925 #10 0x00007fcef6ef4394 in QtPrivate::QSlotObjectBase::call (a=0x7ffd080378b0, r=0x5607698cb850, this=0x56076984bce0) at ../../include/QtCore/../../src/corelib/kernel/qobjectdefs_impl.h:398 *** Bug 474993 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 438721 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 469561 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 475960 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 478265 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 478768 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 479595 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 479610 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 480118 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I uninstalled the kdeconnect using pacman and reinstalled it. It solved the issue and the daemon no longer crashes when the phone tries to connect to it. Created attachment 165149 [details]
New crash information added by DrKonqi
kdeconnectd (23.08.4) using Qt 5.15.12
The crash happens after every single reboot, multiple times, as well as whenever I unlock my phone (and the phone is connected to wifi).

Crash report
The same crash
Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.114.0
Qt Version: 5.15.12
Kernel Version: 6.5.0-14-generic (64-bit)

(In reply to Reza Jahanbakhshi from comment #11) > I uninstalled the kdeconnect using pacman and reinstalled it. It solved the > issue and the daemon no longer crashes when the phone tries to connect to it. This fixed it for me in latest kde neon: $ sudo apt install --reinstall kdeconnect (In reply to H.G.Blob from comment #14) > This fixed it for me in latest kde neon: > $ sudo apt install --reinstall kdeconnect To my surprise, I can confirm this works. On Arch, the following command is all that is required. > $ sudo pacman -S kdeconnect At some point I believe this issue was fixed, in 5.27, but regardless I cannot reproduce in Plasma 6 so I'm closing this ticket. |
