SUMMARY
Might light doesn't activate when logging in during a time when night light should be active. Resetting it correctly enables night light. Basically a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=413607

Oh I forgot to mention, this only started happening recently. Maybe caused by a nvidia driver update?

Found another symptom. Opening the nvidia-settings app disables night light. Moving the sliders in the night light settings fixes it.

Afaik, this has always been the case. Maybe to better see modifications you make in that Nvidia settings menu.

Night Color needs to be put off and back on afterwards.
