This is odd, this is a standard Mastodon server. Do you still have the media file you tried to attach? Still waiting for info, and I'm asking around other people who I know use Tokodon on Android and see if they can reproduce it (In reply to Joshua Goins from comment #1) > This is odd, this is a standard Mastodon server. Do you still have the media > file you tried to attach? I think it appears to be a permission issue of Tokodon, I tried a PNG file, a MP4 file and JPEG file, none of them worked. So I think uploading the media here is useless. I can't be sure that how can I see the logs Gotcha, I'll see if it's a permissions issue D'oh, I only realized until now this was on Android - sorry. Still keeping this open because I can't upload images on Android either, and I think I know why. It seems I can attach media on Android again, closing as fixed |
Created attachment 161725 [details] Error showing after uploading an image. SUMMARY Trying uploading images to a Mastodon instance via Tokodon, the image cannot be uploaded, throwing a server error. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on the Create post button, select the add attachments button 2. Select an image file 3. The image cannot be uploaded. OBSERVED RESULT The error is shown: Failed to contact server: Error transferring <mastodon-instance-website>/api/v1/media-server replied: Unprocessable Entity. Please check your settings. EXPECTED RESULT The uploaded image should be shown in the post creation screen.
