SUMMARY

Clicks in audio of rendered output when source clips use Opus codec. Transcoding input clip to Vorbus removes the click. PCM also works, but I clip needs to have alpha and webm was the only container that seems to work for that.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Create a short .webm clip with opus audio
2.  Add to timeline over another clip
3.  Render

OBSERVED RESULT

Clicks in middle of clip with Opus source

EXPECTED RESULT

No introduction of clicks under any circumstances

Can you provide a small project with source file describing this issue?

We fixed an MLT issue, which should solve this type of audio crackling. Please try with the latest 24.08.1 AppImage from the download page.
