This would be really useful Doing testing for another issue, I see the ability to set defaults has been implemented as of Dolphin 24.12.1 If you have Settings -> View -> Remember Display style for each folder set Then when you go to View -> Adjust view display style you will see a checkbox for "Use as default view settings" @TraceyC: Still not working. 1) When I set in Dolphin under View Settings → “Use common view properties for all folders”, and then adjust the view under View Style, it won’t revert to the default view after I make changes in any folder and reopen dolphin. Of course, those settings then apply to all folders, but there’s no option to define a default view that is used for a new Dolphin session. It always remembers the last changes, which is actually quite annoying. I wish there were an option to set a default view configuration that’s always used when opening a new instance. 2) I also checked your suggested workaround, but it doesn’t behave as described in this request. So I strongly support this feature request and hope it will be considered seriously. (In reply to flo_85 from comment #3) This report was for a feature request, which has since been implemented. From your description, something isn't working as intended, which is a bug. Please open a new bug report. Thanks. Hi I see that (In reply to TraceyC from comment #4) > (In reply to flo_85 from comment #3) > > This report was for a feature request, which has since been implemented. > > From your description, something isn't working as intended, which is a bug. > Please open a new bug report. Thanks. OK as its still does not over ride any changes I make to the views, it simply remembers the most recent view changes. I will open a bug. |
