SUMMARY
When logging in, there is a smooth animation of the desktop appearing. This effect is enabled in KDE Plasma settings (Workspace Behavior -> Desktop Effects -> Login). However, there is no similar effect for logging out, when shutting down the computer the screen just abruptly turns black and that's it.

I suggest adding a new effect that will do a smooth fading of the desktop to a black screen, I think it's easy enough.
