Description dpanter 2023-08-31 09:07:58 UTC
SUMMARY
With Haruna 0.12, media files do not start playing automatically when opened. They did and still do play automatically with 0.11. No mention in the Debian changelog about changed behavior, nor can I find any new option in the settings that would control this. Same settings used in both versions.
Installed 0.12.0-1 with apt from Debian sid repo and compared against 0.11.3-1+b1 from Debian testing. Another user confirmed the issue exists with 0.12 flatpak.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open media file, any file format
2. Observe automatic playback situation

OBSERVED RESULT
Media files do not start playing automatically when opened.

EXPECTED RESULT
Media files should start playing automatically when opened. Ideally there would be a setting to control this behavior.
