SUMMARY
If I add Bengali text as subtitle it renders incorrectly. The diacritics do not connect with the letter in their correct place; rather they show up after the letter like a separate character. And also conjunt letters do not form. Which means it's impossible to add Bengali subtitles through Kdenlive subtitle tool. I tested with the Appimage and Flatpak version.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add subtitles using Kdenlive subtitle tool
2. Add some Bengali text in the subtitles.
3. Check the video preview

OBSERVED RESULT
The Bengali text is broken.

EXPECTED RESULT
The diacritics and conjuncts should render correctly.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux: Fedora 38 workstation Gnome 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Bengali text looks fine if I add them through title clip. But that's not a good way to add subtitles.

I think we have fixed this issue. 
Please try with the latest Kdenlive version 24.08.1 AppImage from the download page.
