Steps:

1. Open an image file
2. Click on the zoom combo box
3. Erase the percent sign, and try to enter a value

Expected:
1. Starting with the percent sign, all characters should be erased via Backspace
2. The number entry should be seamless
3. Upon pressing Return/Enter, a percent sign should be appended

Actual:
1. Instead of erasing the sign and the numbers, the numbers are selected
2. Entering new value does not work, or works very erroneously

For a clean and working-out-of-the-box experience, the 23.08 version of Okular works as expected.
