Description rik 2023-08-22 17:06:42 UTC
Apparently there is no way to change or set the defaults for the ark application.

for example:
setting the default compression level from 5 to 9.

If there is such a mechanism, can someone share it with me?

If there isn't, can one be added?

Thanks.

ark version 22.04.3
kde plasma version: 5.24.7
kde frameworks version: 5.98.0
qt version: 5.15.3

nate,
that was just an example.

I think your change of bug summary is in error.

currently there appears to be no way to change **any** of the default configurations in this application.

it shouldn't be limited to **just** compression level.

thanks.

"Make every default setting for everything configurable" is over-broad for a bug report/feature request though; see https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Issue_Reporting#Step_1:_Make_sure_it's_a_valid_bug_or_feature_request
