Cannot reproduce with 23.04.3 on Pop!_OS 22.04 (based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). Could you start Kdenlive from terminal and post the output after the crash? Do you use Wayland or X11? I'm using Wayland and this is the report after crashing:
