reproduced with KDE 3.0.8 (KDE 3.1 beta 1) When You accept changes in Styles Kcontrol module, you are also accepting a "Text position: Icons only" preference which also alters konsole toolbar (it alters all toolbars globally). imho it is not a bug, it is a feature ;-) I think it's a bug for a couple of reasons: First, as an advanced user, it seemed broken to me-- I didn't realize what happened or why it had changed. Now I realize what's happening-- KDE is showing just the icons in the toolbar and moving the text to the global bar at the top. However, the case with Konsole is different for at least a couple fo reasons: - the text labels of my sessions names don't re-appear in the global bar at the top, they just disappear. - Unlike other text labels that move to the global bar, I can still bring the konsole text labels back after I turn on the global toolbar. This case in Konsole is different. These aren't standard labels like "File, Edit, View", etc, these are labels for the individual windows and should remain even if the "MacOS" mode. Next Konsole version doesn't use a toolbar anymore. |
