STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Editor
2. Select Lens Auto-Correction
3. Try to select manually Make, Model, lens

OBSERVED RESULT
When I edit a photo and I use the "Editor-LensCorrection" plugin it is no longer possible to manually define make, model and lens
The 3 options are grayed out
Other options like "Chromatic aberration" "Vigneting" are also grayed out
Until version 7.9 this worked correctly

EXPECTED RESULT
One should be able to manually change these options

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux Debian Bookworm
Digikam 8.0 or 8.1 appimage

The lens correction works fine here in the AppImage. You may have an outdated Lensfun database in your home directory. We search first in the home directory, then in the bundle.
Delete or rename ~/.local/share/lensfun if present.

Your information allowed me to research a little better issues related to lensfun
There was no lensfun file or folder in ~/.local/share/
Finally I was able to solve this problem by installing the package
"liblensfun-bin"
which was missing (normal or not) ?
then, after running the command
"/usr/bin/g-lensfun-update-data"
I have now the abality to manually define make, model and lens
everything works fine now
Thank you so much
