transform tool artifacts

SUMMARY
When using the transform tool to rotate a object, it creates jagged edges on the edge (see image attachment). This has not been the case before it at seemingly random started happening in version 4.4.5 (i think), but when updating to 5.1.5 it didn't fix the problem.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select drawn object
2. Use the transform tool to rotate it

OBSERVED RESULT
Jagged (not smooth and not blurry) edges around transformed object

EXPECTED RESULT
smooth edges

I cannot reproduce this. I created an image; on the top layer I painted a blob, then selected the transform tool and rotated the blob.

How do you select the drawn object exactly? And what does your layer structure look like?

I just have a seperate layer for the object. It doesn't matter if it's
something I've drawn or a image I pasted in.
It happens both when just clicking the object with the transform tool to
select it or selecting it in a different way.

Especially when rotating something that has a straight line it's very
noticably creating sharp staircasing that doesn't have anti aliasing (see
attached image)

Hi, Daniel!

Could you check if you accidentally activated "Nearest Neighbour" Filter in the Transform Tool's options. The screenshot looks like you did. Select "Bicubic" instead.
