I have noticed this in kdenlive by clicking on "create color clip" and then custom color

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new color clip in the project bin
2. Set the clip color to "Custom..."
3. Copy the hex code (or "Color name") with CTRL+C and or click on "Cancel"
4. Freeze

OBSERVED RESULT
Both the select color thing and kdenlive freezes and after a while it says "Select color is not responding" and I need to force close kdenlive.

EXPECTED RESULT
I should be able to copy the hex code and close the color dialog

Linux: Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon | kernel 5.19.0-46-generic
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3 (built against 5.15.3)

also the kdenlive version is 23.04.3 with this PPA: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kdenlive/kdenlive-stable/ubuntu jammy main

This is interesting as your color selector is different to mine on Windows (Kdenlive version 23.08.4). 
Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 23.08.4 to see if there are any packaging issues https://kdenlive.org/en/download/
