SUMMARY
After the launch of Spectacle 23.04, using the rectangular region tool you can only select a region inside the screen the mouse pointer is currently in. This means you cannot take screenshots across multiple screens, or you have to be mindful of where your pointer is if you only want to capture a rectangular region.
I am using two screens (one QHD, the other FHD) with no scaling, arranged vertically. I have set KWin so that it treats the screen where the mouse pointer is as active.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Spectacle with the rectangular region tool using the hotkey

OBSERVED RESULT
You can only select a region inside the screen where the mouse pointer currently is.

EXPECTED RESULT
You can select any region across any of the available screens.

I cannot reproduce this issue with vertical screens and Spectacle from git master in Plasma 6.

Does it work for you on Wayland in Plasma 5? Also with Spectacle 23.08?

I've just tested this on Wayland and it doesn't work there, either. Spectacle 23.08 was installed.

Closing this as fixed as it works on Plasma 6.3.2.
