Writing geolocation information to the Exif metadata must be enabled in the digiKam settings under Metadata. https://docs.digikam.org/en/setup_application/metadata_settings.html#behavior-settings Maik Created attachment 160120 [details]
getting this error when I clicked Apply button (near to close)
I did enabled the option in Behavior Settings of geolocation information (GPS) and tried to add co ordinates, when I clicked on Apply button on top, it said nothing When I clicked apply button at bottom, it said, Failed to Open file, and I couldn't save Strange, I see that the image has a thumbnail. So it must have been read before. Currently it cannot be opened to read metadata and a preview cannot be loaded either. The image is still in the directory? Can a preview still be opened in digiKam? Is drive D: an external hard drive? Maik ops, the image location I changed and forgot to refresh in digiKam I am really really sorry for taking your time in these cross questioning, Thank you, it worked, Geo Co ordinates are being added succesfully Do you know how to add Same Metadata to multiple photos in one go. Meaning I want to bulk add EXIF Name, Description to 30-40 images, I know Metadata editor tool in Tools option , but this is not adding to all images in one click, it is individually adding to one image at one time What is the EXIF name? To add the title and description, the captions tab is used in the right sidebar. Select the images, enter the title and description and press apply. https://docs.digikam.org/en/right_sidebar/captions_view.html Maik Created attachment 160125 [details]

Wanted to add this EXIF Name in bulk
The Exif.Image.DocumentName cannot currently be assigned in batch. However, it is actually not logical to assign the same Exif.Image.DocumentName to several files. You need to explain that in more detail before we implement it. I'm closing here as the actual bug is fixed, but you can keep replying here. Maik |
