SUMMARY
Some features dissapeared from Spectacle in latest versions, that were really useful. In "Annotation tools" there were "Text" and "Number" with 3 options, when user hold pressed respective buttons: Only shape, shape ending in line and shape ending in arrow. User was able to change where line or arrow pointed. The last two options are not available yet.

Why those features was removed?

Thank you

We ported away from the old 3rd-party annotayion library that included all those features, because it was QtWidgets-only and was therefore preventing us from porting Spectacle to QML, adding video recording, and making annotations inline inside Rectangular Region mode.

As such, re-adding that library is not an option, unfortunately.

Please submit one bug report pew feature you are missing and would like back, and we'll see if we can accommodate it.

Submit a bug report about the missing bank feature you'd like back, and we'll see if we can accommodate it.

I don't understand this last paragraph very well. You suggest that I send a report about the features I would like to have again (really all the ones that have disappeared) and I precisely opened this thread as a "wish list" so what do you mean by "submit a bug report"? Isn't that what I had done by opening this thread?

Yes please.

The problem is that "please add back everything" isn't actionable; it's over-broad. It's like filing a bug report that says "please fix all the bugs." Bug reports and feature requests need to be actionable, and to be actionable, they need to be narrowly targeted. See:

You are right that the title was not explicit about the tools I wanted to return to "Spectacle", and I have changed it. However, in the content I did clearly express what I wanted "Spectacle" to get back. The options of common to the tools to add "Text" or "Circles" , "ending in arrow" or "endking in line" which, on the other hand, are really the ones that have been lost.

Which is fine, but you need to submit one new feature request for each one, because each one is a distinct feature that needs to be implemented independently.
