Indexing generally happens so fast (or at least it should) that I don't think this is worth doing. Are you seeing that indexing is taking a very long time or something? I do have larger collections both on an nvme sdd as well as on an hdd, so importing takes some time, especially in case of the latter. So, I'd find it convenient 1) to see that it has 100% indexed $n songs on $device or $path last time on $date. 2) if it were possible to re-index only $device or $path 3) to tell Elisa explicitly where to look for music so it doesn't need to search everywhere and does not include audio files not meant for Elisa Created attachment 161832 [details]

Here's an example why I'd like to manage folders where Elisa looks for songs: It imports all random files it finds, e.g. dts files found in a kernel, which is checked out from git.
Additionally I'd like to avoid importing files, which have a length < $s seconds. E.g. the 0 seconds lengthy files are not worth importing.
Also I'd like to exclude certain file types, like dts.
Alright, I found an option to selectively add folders in the settings. I will open more specific issues for the remaining wishes as this report has become pretty cluttered now. :) |
