Description tomtomtomreportingin 2023-05-30 01:45:38 UTC
SUMMARY
A minor but somewhat annoying bug is that, after selecting and closing a particular document from the Recent Documents list on the welcome screen, Krita highlights the index just below where that particular document was on the list. This is confusing in the case of looking through recent documents one-by-one through Krita.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have two recently opened documents.
2. Open the first listed document.
3. Close document.

OBSERVED RESULT
The second document is highlighted for some reason.

EXPECTED RESULT
The first item should be highlighted as that was the most recently selected document.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian sid
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0
Qt Version: 5.12.12

The original idea was to make it easy to select the item that was in the list after the document that was just closed, and not the document that was just closed. And that seems to work, so I think that this actually works as intended.

Seems (unintentionally?) resolved by https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/commit/eb332dad9f87a0736a8961796ce41949de8a4780
