SUMMARY

kdenlive freezes immediately after starting automated subtitle generation

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select automated speech recognition
2. Select a model 
3. Select a clip
3. Press "Process"


OBSERVED RESULT
App freezes immediately at "Starting Audio Export", being at 0%. After some time "Starting audio export" changes to "Starting speech recognition" – then, the precentage actually starts moving. 

EXPECTED RESULT
* Some information that the speech recognition is ongoing and did not crash
* Some clear way to cancel the process – currently the window is just frozen and does not react to button presses of any kind (I do not know if there is a button that would cancel if it would not be frozen)

It looks like some components are not proper installed (Phyton). Please try with version 23.08.4 and follow these steps: https://docs.kdenlive.org/en/effects_and_compositions/speech_to_text.html
