Description Karl Robillard 2023-05-20 15:21:49 UTC
The compose post dialog must not hide the feed area so that the writer can see what they are replying to.

I'm looking for an application targeted at desktop users, so my preference is for a separate, non-modal dialog to open. This would allow the user to continue browsing feeds while writing, just as the official Mastodon web client does.

Allow popping out the status composer on desktop

This allows you to continue using Tokodon while writing a post, which is
useful on desktop. You can do this by using the new "Pop Out" action in
the composer, which is only visible on desktop devices.
