I think this is actually an element bug. Other people seem to be affected by that as well (see KDE Sysadmin and KDE/Matrix support rooms) |
Created attachment 159102 [details] They don't match Current kf5-based git master of NeoChat (since it doesn't build for me with KF6). This has started to happen over just the past few days. Basically, when I open a NeoChat room with unread messages, the unread count in NeoChat's sidebar disappears, but this does not propagate to the server so Element still shows unread messages. Even manually clicking "Mark as Read" in the room's context menu in NeoChat does not resolve the issue. See attached screenshot.
