Description promike1987 2023-05-15 08:39:18 UTC
I would like to report a bug in the latest version of Spectacle (23.04.0) where the crop tool has been removed. This tool was an essential feature for users who frequently take screenshots and need to crop them quickly and easily.

The new rectangular region tool is not a suitable replacement for the crop tool as it requires the user to create a new screenshot rather than simply cropping an existing one. This slows down the process of cropping.

As a result, users are forced to use external photo editing tools like GIMP to perform basic cropping tasks. This not only increases the time taken to complete the task but also adds unnecessary steps to the process.

Therefore, I request the developers to reconsider the removal of the crop tool or provide an alternative tool that can serve the same purpose. This will greatly improve the usability of Spectacle and save users time and effort in performing basic image editing tasks.
