The software needs (at least) 30 seconds to display change every single time I type something up or want to select another cell. This problem has appeared in the penultimate version or the previous one - e.g. in the 22.xxx.xx or 21.xx.xx - and is still occurring in the last (current) version.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Parley editor
2. Try to type up some word
3. Wait and see

I was able to reproduce the named behavior when running in a Wayland session (actually, only when running on Wayland an never on X11).
Can you confirm that you had a Wayland session running when you noticed this behavior?

A temporary solution until we find a fix, you can run parley with "-platform xcb" to workaround this problem. The actual problems seems to be quite deep in the render stack and might need some time to fix/cannot be fixed in Parley alone.
