STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. create new canvas and add reference pictures
2. draw what you wanted to 
3. save and close the canvas

OBSERVED RESULT
canvas/drawing is not there and doesn't even appear in the pcs files to put it back into krita

EXPECTED RESULT
drawing is saved and at the top of library

Hi,

This must be an issue local to your system since it is not reproducible by others. To find out what might be going on, please attach:

* the output of help->krita log for bug reports
* the output of help->system information for bug reports

With "the pcs files to put it back into krita" -- do you mean the recent files list on the welcome screen?
