Is that the case? Can you show a screenshot of the Filter dialog instead? I can't reproduce the issue yet, otherwise. I think you're mixing this up with the "Group by" dropdown. I'm searching for <Any Field> and grouping the results by Author. But I found the error when using a binary editor. It depends on how the ü is saved: "ü" or "ü" (actual ü, or u+ ̈). Created attachment 158737 [details] Working without ü SUMMARY I use Tellico for our Museum's books and when I use a filter to search in <Any Field>, strings with ü will fail to find a book's title STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a book with the title "Wichtelküche" 2. Search for "wichtelk" - it will show 3.
