The backtrace does not show the process of deleting images. You have started a similarity search. Are you deleting images in the Similarity Search tab? Since we are getting several strange crashes with the Ubuntu digiKam-8.0.0-Beta1, this version seems to be broken. Please try our AppImage to see if the problem can be reproduced with it. Maik thanks for getting back. Yes it crashes from the similarity tab when deleting a file (seldom by when deleting from an album directly). Maybe it may help the following: 1) I have tried with an AppImage 8.0.0: doesn't crash but sometimes delete the files, most of the time do nothing 2) work around I have found working with the debain version is to collect the files in a specific folder and then delete them from the alöbum view tatanka1977, What's about this file using current 8.2.0 AppImage Linux bundle ? It's reproducible ? https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier @tatanka1977, digiKam 8.3.0 stable version is released and available at usual place : https://www.digikam.org/download/ Can you reproduce the dysfunction on your computer ?
