I'm afraid this is intentional; with smaller icon sizes, the touch targets become too small to be usable. Not everyone is using the tablet just with their fingers. I'm using a pen and don't need this extra space. As a default the spacing is OK, but it should be possible to change that. --> Simple by Default, Powerful when Needed I can see that, yeah. The expectation is that Touch Mode is for touch usage, but you're not using it as a touchscreen, and a stylus is precise like a pointing device. In this case, it sounds like you would be better served by disabling Touch Mode entirely in System Settings > Workspace Behavior > General Behavior > Touch Mode > set it to "Never enabled". Does that help? Thanks for the suggestion – this helps a little bit. But I still can't see, why this shouldn't be configurable. Anyway, thanks for your consideration. Regard this bug as closed, if you wish. Making the spacing configurable while in Touch Mode would defeat the purpose of Touch Mode; its reason for existing is to force bigger spacing and sizes to increase touch targets. Touch Mode without larger UI controls and bigger spacing doesn't make conceptual sense. If you're not using the UI with touch, then turning off Touch Mode is the configuration that exists and will allow you to achieve what you're looking for. |

In "General" it should be possible to change the distance-setting. OBSERVED RESULT It is greyed out as "Large" EXPECTED RESULT It should be possible to change the setting.
