(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kicker
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.0.7 1 beta1))
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (SuSE)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.10-4GB
OS/Compiler notes:

Something nice I saw in a Windows XP extension:
Put an additional button in the panel and if you click on it the whole desktops gets devided into e.g. 4 pieces (if you have 4 desktops) and you see a complete desktop in each of these areas. If you double-click on it you switch to it.
Also: if you do that it's like a smooth zooming in or out.
Very nice and also useful.

Thanks for the great 3.1 CVS version! It's really great. I don't want to switch back to 3.0 anymore.
Thanks for your hard work!

You are talking about an "expose" style behavior (a-la Max OS-X). there is a program for KDE that does the same thing, called "kompose".

IMO this bug should be closed - the described functionality is not intergrally important to the desktop and there is 3rd party software that allows this.
