The logout confirmation screen is good solution to cancel some accidental/non-reversible actions like power off, restart and logout, the others actions like sleep, lock and switch user are not dangerous and can be fast reversed by user, the only problematic is hibernate which is on same level as power off, this action forces the whole system to shut down while saving its state, so its recovery requires a new full startup, it would be nice to add hibernate action as trigger for "logout confirmation screen".

NB: "logout confirmation screen" naming seems not suitable, because that screen confirms more than logout action.

How often do  you end up accidentally hibernating and how are you accidentally triggering it?

IMHO it's not needed.

It is reversible, just slower. We're slowing everyone else down for an edge case. And making it an option doesn't really work, it's the sort of option you'd only want retroactively and just for that one time.

It has the same probability of being accidentally clicked as "Shutdown" and "Restart" via Kickoff. And personally I use "Hibernate" much more than "Shutdown" or "Sleep", so clicking on it can happen much more often, and sometimes we want to finish undone/minor tasks before forcing hibernating, so it's useful to have a confirmation dialog to be sure and avoid any fast clicking.

Sorry, but how can you undo clicking on Hibernate in Kickoff ?

Power on the system again? If state has been saved, nothing has been lost, it's just a little bit of waiting.

I agree with David; this isn't needed. I think if we did have it, it would be annoying and contribute to "dialog fatigue".
