Currently dolphin in the details view uses the date format from the regional settings to format its dates.
I would like to define my own format here, different from the global settings. Then it would for example be possible to add seconds to the displayed modified date.
The setting could be a third option to the already existing date format settings. The clock widget could serve as reference as it already has such a setting.
But for me a simple entry in the configuration file would be enough.

Is configuration really needed ?

Would adding a third option that includes the seconds would do the trick  ?

May I ask, what is the use case for this ?
To make sure files have been updated ? To compare dates of files ?
